The menu at Ai Pono Café is an absolute delight, packed with dishes that showcase creativity and a fresh take on traditional island cuisine. Imagine diving into a bowl of poke, but not just any poke—a poke made with an inventive mix of fresh ahi tuna, seasoned to perfection, and paired with a subtle blend of tropical fruits. That's the kind of experience this café offers. The loco moco, another highlight, seems to steal the spotlight with each bite—a juicy burger patty resting gracefully on a bed of sticky rice, drizzled with their signature gravy and topped with a perfectly runny egg. It's comfort food at its finest, executed with a finesse that makes one's taste buds sing.

Vegetarian or vegan? Worry not, as Ai Pono Café caters thoughtfully to those seeking plant-based delicacies as well. The tofu poke bowl, with its refreshing zest and textural variety, is a must-try for anyone trying to eat green without sacrificing taste. Even for those who simply wish to catch up over a light snack, the spam musubi are little parcels of joy; they manage to balance sweet and savory in every bite. Doesn't that sound tempting?

A lovely little hawaiian poke bowl place! It's tucked in, so maybe it doesn't get a lot of traffic for that. The poke bowls are extremely fresh and well flavored. The service is really friendly and helpful! The price is reasonable as well. I personally like the guava lemonade drink. They must have that really pairs very well with the food.

Food is delicious and very authentic like we’re in Hawaii. You can taste the love and the vibe is super chill. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves Hawaiian food and the prices are very reasonable.

Above average flavors with above average prices for Hawaiian style food. My only real complaint is that the beef was too salty. Luckily, the white rice kind of neutralizes the saltiness. I loved the spicy poke. The mahi mahi fish was decent. There's no free water available anymore. So they sell all kinds of drinks and bottled water. The sandwich place across the way, had free water and plastic cups. The dining area is spacious, but I can see how it can get busy with nowhere to sit. The decor was fun and the music was a bit too loud. I think if they made the price 20%-30% less, then I wouldn't have any complaints at all. We didn't interact much with the staff except for the ordertaker/cashier and she was pleasant. There's a tip option when you pay by card and also a tip jar if you are paying by cash. I don't know if I'm coming back here. I like Shang Noodles next door for a more satisfying meal.

The food was absolutely delicious. Somewhat of a fast pace environment but still able to sit down and enjoy your food. The staff is very friendly as well, they had brought me the wrong plate initially and without hesitation corrected the mistake and gave me a free item.

Would I drive all the way to Ai Pono just for this food? Probably not. But if you’re here and looking for a place to eat, I’d recommend giving it a try. Like most reviews, make sure you have time. There is always a line even during the week. When I was there, even hotel staff were in line. The atmosphere is my favorite part of this restaurant. Local music, the wood, the pictures, it makes you feel like you’re back home. The food is delicious. Typical plate lunch portion sizes but with Vegas prices so be warned it’s not a cheap place to eat. Employee attitude, I typically don’t base my reviews off of service because that can change dramatically depending on the day and hour you go but for some reason, no one seemed happy there. When you think about the Aloha spirit, you immediately think of a smile. It’s easy to bring local Hawaiian food off the island but the Aloha Spirit can’t be manufactured.
